Mummys Treasure is a physics based puzzle game released by Chillingo Ltd.

The idea behind the game is make you way throw the tomb by completing various physic based puzzles. These are designed were blocks can be removed from the screen to make things happen. There are blocks that you need to keep on the screen (gold blocks) and monster blocks that must be removed.

The puzzle start out very easy with you tapping a background block and all the enemy blocks falling off the bottom of the screen. However, the puzzles start to get hard fast. By the end of the first dozen puzzles you are dealing with timing issues and blocks having there own gravity (they fall in the direction their base is facing)

I am a big fan of this style of game, and have several in my collection, however, I do like to be able to complete a puzzle once I can see how the puzzle is working. I do not like playing it a dozen times just to make sure that I have picked the perfect milisecond to tap the screen to get the wanted effect to happen. Or maybe I am just getting slow in my old age.

The sounds and graphics are both good, and the animation of the blocks makes the game a little more interesting.

On the upside:

• Nice presentation
• Interesting puzzle designs
• Universal app

On the downside:

• Crazy gravity effects, depending on the orientation the faces is the direct the item falls.
• Perfect timing is need on some puzzles, and I mean perfect...

Overall, this is a good puzzle game, it is similar of several others, but has tried a few things to make itself different, however, several of these just do not work so in fact make the game more annoying, as the physics go out of the window, and you need to try and work out first how the orientation has effected the puzzle.
